On this very day, the 26th March, two very important teams in both worlds of war and soccer, Australia will be playing against Iraq this Saturday, now this would put one to wonder if this has anything to do with the current situation of the Australian Troops being in Iraq or will John Howard personally greet the Australian side personally before they step out on to that pitch on Saturday evening? And of course telling them how wonderful of a job they are doing and making the country proud, only one can wonder.

But on a serious note though, the Socceroos have been quite disadvantaged in the past in terms of qualifying for the World Cup, Australia haven't had many games to play to show just how strong of a side they are, I personally think the Australian National team is quite a strong side even if Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell weren't in the line-up at all, both those players are just way too overrated, sure I mean it would help the team if those two players were on the pitch, but Australian team doesn't really have to put them in the line-up, we need to let the rest of the young bloods in the team have a chance to shine. This Saturdays game will be interesting to watch since both Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell aren't in the line-up as up to this date.

Iraq, I don't have much of an idea on how strong or significant this side are, although as my memory serves me they did do a really good job in the Olympics, that's about as much as I know about this team and that they are ranked about 44th in the world at the moment, while Australia is about 58th. Although I could go on and ramble quite abit more if this was in anyway relating to the Iraqi's in terms of war, but I'm sure George W. Bush himself can do that on his own just fine without the need of myself or his pet John Howard.

Here are the details about the event on the night if you Sydney Siders want to know:

Date: 26 March 2005
Venue: Telstra Stadium
Time: Kick off at 7pm
Cost: TBC
Tickets: TBCMore
information: Visit www.footballaustralia.com.au

Luckily I'll be working on this evening to watch the game from either one of the side entrances into the stadium closest to my outlet, or if that's going to be abit of a problem I can always just watch from the big screen television mounted to the ceiling corner facing right into the back of the kitchen. Should be a good game, and a good watch to actually see if Osama Bin Laden get's a hat trick or wether the Iraq side can hold onto the whole 90minutes without unleashing their nuclear weapons of mass destruction, because obviously that would just be bad sportsmanship.

Tafe begins... again

I know I've said I was going back to the old traditional pen and paper. But it didn't actually quite workout. And after reading a few other blogs, it's been quite inspirational for me to continue this online blog I've started. It's been awhile since I've last posted and alot of things have come and gone and crossed my quite-empty-all-the-time head (which isn't a surprise to most you I'm sure); one of which are my Tafe results for last year in Information Technology, didn't do too incredibly well... ok I didn't pass two subjects, which happened to be two of the most very important pre-requist subjects for the Diploma Course.

So inevitably I have to repeat those two subjects which is what I've just started today, right on valentines day. (Does valentines day need a capital? ...I guess only to those who find valentines day important enough to deserve a capital :p). Anywho, classes at Tafe have started today, and for some very strange reason, the head teacher of the IT department at the campus said I was in the wrong class to begin with - side note... this teacher has always been known for a bit of cookoo-ness, don't ask me why. Now on the orientation day I was given class A to begin with which was fine, it fitted perfectly cause according to the class A timetable I had Friday's off. Starting class today, the teacher had told me I was suppose to be in class C. Who knows how that happened, apparently my name had been written on two seperate class roles i.e. Class A and Class B roles.

So it's a matter of trying to appeal for a change back to the original class I was shoved into. Becuase the timetable for Class C doesn't do too well on Friday's for me, and I'll get quite annoyed when I don't have that special last day of the week off, even if this going to be just for the next six months.
